My Love For Jumpsuits

I love jumpsuits and overalls. They’re such an easy outfit choice. Especially the jumpsuits, there’s no additional shirt needed or anything. The only drawback, I’d say, is using the restroom, especially when you’re out in public.

It’s a whole ordeal that leaves you essentially naked in a strange place, hoping that nobody can see you sitting on the toilet through the bathroom stall door. I remember wearing a jumpsuit to work years ago before I opened Roost. There was only one employee restroom for men and women in the break room.

As it happened that day, I was mid-flow when I heard two of my male coworkers walk into the break room and realized I had forgotten to lock the door. I don’t know that I’ve ever felt more panic at work. I was stuck.

The door was too far away to reach, and even if I jumped up at that moment to try to redress, there was no way I’d have my jumpsuit up before they opened the door. Fortunately for me, they didn’t need to use the restroom that day.

I still love my jumpsuits, but without fail, to this day, I double-check that lock before assuming the position.
