My Approach To Self Care

I love my yoga time! It just feels so good.

I don’t get into many spiritual connections that some entertain, but physically, it’s simply the best. During my yoga class today, the teacher suggested smiling while we closed our eyes and then noticing how different we felt in our mind and body.

I have to admit that it turned out to be a moment for me. Of course, I immediately thought how stupid of a suggestion it was.

Seriously?!

Stand here with my eyes closed, smiling to gauge if I feel different.

Dumb!!!

And then it happened. I felt a difference. I felt good! Like a good mood had just washed over me and left some feel-good fairy dust sprinkled around. So I guess the moral of the story was that if I just shut up, even in my head, I may learn something.

Cheers to that!
