One of my favorite sayings that was shared with me during a difficult time is, “You can’t save your ass and your face at the same time”. My mother dropped those words of wisdom on me years ago. She’s full of little gems like that.
It was so funny to me in the moment that it lightened my load briefly as the visual passed through my mind. And then, it really put things into perspective.
You can’t do both. So follow your heart and choose wisely.
