I’ve been grocery shopping for 30 plus years now. I’m no beginner. And as most of you know by now, Oliver’s and I have a special relationship. I love going to Oliver’s and meandering through the aisles. Who would’ve ever guessed I could get so much joy out the mundane?
Of course, the tavern is a definite bonus.
The biggest dilemma I still find myself dealing with is purchasing the correct amount of fresh fruit and veggies. I have yet to find the perfect formula or process in produce purchasing.
One week we’ll go through 15 kiwis, 6 bananas, a bag of cuties and 3 containers of berries, and the next I’m throwing out remnants of fruit that now resemble large furry raisins.
Where’s the balance? How is the swing in fruit consumption so drastic from one week to the next? Will this mystery ever be solved? Or is it simply beyond human understanding?
